Northwest Independent Editors Guild Conference 2011

The Northwest Independent Editors Guild is putting on a one-day conference, Red Pencil in the Woods, on September 24.

The lineup looks pretty interesting: sessions on technical editing, writing effective book proposals, self-publishing, children’s books, e-books, and a keynote address and session by Carol Saller, the subversive copy editor.

Registration fees are a very reasonable $75–$125. Register before August 24th for early bird pricing, and note that Editors’ Association of Canada members are offered the member rate!

The conference is Saturday, September 24, 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. at Bastyr University, Kenmore, Washington.

Edit: conference highlights.
